We mentioned in our last update that we had to make a couple of small changes to the design in order to streamline the mass manufacture stage. We have now placed the order for mass manufacture!

Manufacturing Update!

Dear Backers,
We hope that this update finds you well.
Firstly, we'd like to apologise for the radio silence - we wanted to post an update once the sample had been received and fully tested.
The great news is that the quality of the machining is fantastic and so is the functionality (see video). This means that we are good to start manufacturing when the factory reopens in 10 days.
In the meantime, we are going to make some small modifications to the design which will improve the assembly process during mass manufacturing.
We look forward to keeping you posted on the manufacturing stage.

We just wanted to say we hope you had a fantastic Christmas and New Year!
Everything is on track and the new sample is due to arrive towards the end of this month. As soon as we have images we will send pictures.
We have done everything we possibly can over the Christmas period to re-invest and ensure this final sample is nothing but perfect.
Lets make 2019 the best year yet!!!

Manufacturing Update

Dear Backers,
Unfortunately, we have some less than positive news to share with you all. The latest sample that should have been our final sample before mass-manufacturing doesn’t live-up the high-standards that we aim to achieve. Our specified machining tolerances (+_0.05mm) that were promised throughout the sampling phase were not realised.
Therefore, we’ve made the very difficult decision to delay the project by 6-8 weeks and not proceed with this manufacturer. The main reason for the delay is due to Chinese New Year, which occurs between 20th Jan - 14th Feb. Please be assured that the decision was not made lightly. In addition to our concerns over unhappy backers this has come at a huge financial and time detriment to our business.
This additional time will be used to gain another final prototype from a known manufacturer (same supplier that produces our Magno pen and pencil range). We have been promised that we will receive this final sample before the 25th January and are confident that it will be nothing short of exceptional. We will then have the confidence to move onto mass-manufacturing. It goes without saying that we are doing everything within our power to get these issues resolved quickly. Our main priority is delivering a brilliant product! For returning backers who of supported our campaigns before you will know that this philosophy is at the core of our company.
We will keep you posted as and when we receive additional information. Again, we can only wholeheartedly apologise for this unforeseen delay.

Hello Backers,
Great news! You should have received your BackerKit survey (to your KS email address). What's more exciting is that on all our existing products we have provided the option for Christmas shipping (drop-down option on our Magno and Magno-ink range). This will only be available to those who complete their survey within the next 9 days, this will leave us with enough time to ship these items anywhere in the world.
We will also be receiving our final prototype for OMNI next week! Look forward to getting mass production underway.
